I’m extremely happy to report I have completed November Sunrise. The editing is done, the scrutiny of every line all the typos and formatting are finished and I will be sending it out to beta readers shortly.
I will be getting a list of crime-procedural agents together and sending it out next week. The query letter has had its revisions and scrutiny and is ready to go. Very excited and proud, as I put the first word to the page just over a month ago. Lots of time and focus were spent getting this done, and beyond work it’s basically the only thing I did in my free time.
In other news Listen Closely has had a couple beta readers finish it, and will be moving on to the book club. That will be seven new readers providing feedback and I am excited to hear from them.
So far the people who have finished are split on the ending, which serves the dual-read structure. They went back and looked for the hints and clues I left. It has been a positive reception so far and has built my confidence a bit in my work.
For what comes next, I’ll be in the query trenches for both books for awhile. I have the idea rolling around for After Image and I will be doing my normal brainstorm dump session for it soon, and hopefully putting the first words to the page within two weeks.
