Listen Closely – Psychological Suspense
Listen Closely is a 74,000 word stand alone psychological-suspense novel set in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. It explores the complex relationship people can have with reality, and the terrifying paths that absolute certainty can lead. I am currently querying the manuscript along with November Sunrise, a crime procedural following a detective investigating the aftermath of the events in Listen Closely.
November Sunrise – Crime Procedural
November Sunrise is an 83,000 word stand alone crime-procedural novel that is also set in Glenwood Springs. It follows Detective Stephen Mercer who is reeling from the events in Listen Closely. He comes to grips with his personal life becoming vastly more difficult during the most challenging week in his career. A steady FBI Partner helps him to move forward as they work together in a task force with its sights set on an elusive killer. I wrote it as a slow-burn partnership that never crosses the line but I hope sticks with readers longer than if it did. The book is now out to some beta readers, and querying in the trenches.
After Image – Crime-Procedural/Thriller
After Image is the next book I will be writing. Still in the idea stage, it will follow Detective Mercer as he leaves Glenwood Springs behind for a new start in Denver, a year after the events of November Sunrise. However when some things start happening around him in oddly similar ways, he starts to believe he was followed there. With my other work done, I will be moving to this project very soon.
