New Book, Slower Pace…

Working on Privileged Access has been interesting. I’m about two weeks into it now, and I’m sitting at 28000 words. This is still a very solid pace, but compared to the last two I have slowed it down a bit, and given it more time to live in my head.

I think this has produced some good results so far, but has also given me more time to think through the plotting. I’m using a lot of my technical knowledge in the plot so far and wanted to be sure the adversary in this book was extremely smart. I think it’ll be a good one and I am excited to continue.

In other news the querying of the first two is still glacial, but that’s quite alright. I truly believe I am now writing the best book so far, and will only continue to improve along with my chances of publication.

Regarding feedback November Sunrise received a bit of beta review from an older reader who appreciated some of the personal aspects of the book. The only common theme I am seeing in the constructive feedback is that while overall the manuscripts are fairly clean I could probably use a professional editor.

After Image has had it’s first beta get most of the way done, and she told me she skipped taking a nap yesterday to keep reading just to find out how a certain plot point resolved. I loved to hear that! More people will be seeing that one soon.

As always more to come…
