When it rains it pours I suppose. I started my next novel November Sunrise last Wednesday. I’ve sent Listen Closely out to a number of agents. Here I am thirty-four thousand words later well into my next work.
I’m finding Crime/Procedural to be an extremely engaging genre to write. I’m trying to take what worked in my other book such as realistic dialogue, visceral emotions, immersive scenery, and apply that to this one. All of the technical aspects of police-work are fascinating and interesting as well. On top of that I have found myself deeply enjoying romantic writing. Charged scenes between two characters are becoming some of my favorites to navigate.
We’ll have to see where we are in another week.
