Cysa+ and more…

Last month after a little bit of a longer study time frame than Id have liked I passed CySA+. With that, I reached the goal of having the certifications I’ll need to become a security analyst. Hopefully the right job is around the corner but until then, its being the best Help Desk Technician I can be, and working on the additional skills I’ll need to hit the ground running. That includes Linux skills as well as mastering some packet capture software. For me the main focus is mastering the commands and skills to filter the massive amounts of packet capture data that comes with monitoring network traffic, and navigating server environments.

In other news, after 31 years I will be moving away from Pennsylvania in two weeks, to a nice townhouse with my girlfriend. It’s honestly bitter-sweet. I have loved my house for the last 10 years, but being in a new area, a new town and doing it with my girlfriend will be a great step. Here’s to new adventures…
