In 2024 I decided to make a big change in my life, and break from the social services/teaching path I had been on since 2013. With the support of some friends, my girlfriend and some savings I quit my job, studied, got three certifications. I was lucky enough to land a help desk job at ConnectWise soon after. I did this for a few reasons the main one being that I wanted to do something that I was truly interested in. While helping people through social services was very rewarding, it was also very stressful. Looking at the next 30 years of my life, I wanted to be sure I could enjoy my work, not be as stressed out, and also have a higher ceiling for career potential. Super grateful for all the support I got from people on the way. Looking ahead, I am excited to take the next step into cyber security. Currently studying for CySA +.
Why a website? I wanted to collect all of the things that matter for my IT career into one space. I also want to collect some of my interests, such as PC building, hiking/photography and general tech. I also wanted to learn a bit more about what goes into putting together a website. So far so good…
